Dr Aline Montenegro Magalhães (Historian and Researcher – focus on African collections) is a historian from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro – UFRJ (2000), Master (2004) and PhD (2009) in Social History from the same University. Researcher at the National Historical Museum (MHN), professor at the Museum Management Course (MBA) at Candido Mendes University and an accredited professor in the Professional Master’s Degree in History Teaching (ProfHistória / Unirio). Leader of the research group certified in the CNPq “Writings of history in museums: objects, narratives and temporalities”. Since November 2018, she has been a postdoctoral senior scholarship holder from CNPq, developing the research project “Blacks in the National Historical Museum: by a decolonized collection, 1922-2018.
